Could you get a speeding ticket for running faster than the speed limit?

Could you? Say like if you were in a college parking lot and the speed limit is 8 mph and you ran faster than that could you a speeding ticket. It might seem like a dumb question but I’m just curious.

I highly doubt it because i think it only applies to vehicles
but i cannot say for sure though

No, the speed limit applies to vehicles.

The college code probably says something like “in a motor vehicle” or something like that.

No, because you are not operating a vehicle.

Even if you COULD run that fast, you damn sure can’t keep it up long enough for the cop with the radar gun to even zap at you …

… it’s late, Scooter … go to bed already!

I don’t know but when my kids where in school a high school student was in a wheel chair, had been for most of his life, and the police use to get onto him nearly everyday for speeding down the road to and from the school! He eventually did get a ticket for speeding in his wheelchair! He loved it!!! His parents weren’t so thrilled about it but he thought it was great!
