It does ruin my day if I get a ticket. Not to be rude, but the fact of the matter, whether you meant to do it or not, you still did it. I’m sure most people that hit bikers or someone walking didn’t mean it, but they’re still held accountable for it. I know you didn’t mean to do it, you normally don’t speed in a school zone, but you got unlucky and was caught when you did do it.

The best way (probably too late) is to be very polite with the police officer. Sometimes they will just give you a warning, but if you piss them off they’ll likely find another thing to fine you for. But you can also plead with the judge saying you’ll take a safe driving class or something to lower the fine and possibly drop the points.

I always cry!!! I can’t tand spending money for 10 miles over the limit???!! In a school zone they are really picky though. I try to avoid school zones by all measures!
I can’t help to cry cause it costs so much money for the ticket, then it costs for insurance! geez!!!
as for getting out of it girly, i think you are screwed!! sorry!

It has been 16 years since I got a speeding ticket and it was one of those days when EVERYTHING was going wrong and the cop was a nasty female with an attitude….Hell yeah I cried….

I hear ya…I cry too. And the other answerer is right, later I get all p!ssed because my insurance goes up…what a f8cking racket that is…big business forcing us to have insurance. That’s why it is so frickin expensive, because law says we have to have it. Make it CHOICE again and they would be a LOT lower.

No, but I swear and feel bitter towards the world. Especially since the fine is only a down payment. I got a ticket in North Carolina 3 months ago for 78 in a 55 zone. (my speedometer must have been broken) I’ll be paying $30/month more in insurace for the next 3 years because of this. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
