Does A Sat Nav With Speed Camera Detection Class As A Radar Detector?

I am travelling to France next week from the UK and have been reading that Radar Detection equipment is illegal in France. I may be having a dumb moment, but is a Sat Nav with GPS speed camera detection the same as Radar Detection? I don’t want to break any French laws.
Thanks in advance for any answers given.

No, your Sat-nav has the locations or the speed cameras stored on its memory.
Radar detectors detect the radars when approaching them.
So you will be fine to use your sat-nav.

I would also think about where you position your sat nav, I have seen them half way up the windscreen in this Country..
They must be positioned so as not to impair the drivers vision, the Police on the Continent are more likely to fine you on the spot for this infringement.

No, it’s fine.
Don’t forget your Hi-Viz, first aid kit and warning triangle.

no its just a camera location on a map not a radar detector so you’ll be legal.xx
