I have an ICD, and radar detectors do not affect it. Just worry about being around strong magnetic fields… Don’t use old power tools, and if you’re talking on a cell phone, use the opposite ear. And don’t go through metal detectors — have them hand search you.
ICDs are much different than they used to be. Not a lot affects them.

Definitely not.
This type of laser has no penetrative power and it is reflected back by the body of the car. Besides these detectors depend upon the reflection of the laser bear to compute the speed of a vehicle.
So you do not need to worry.

The only thing you need to worry about are strong magnetic fields.
When you go for a check and the tech uses a magnet to interogate and program the ICD

No it will not effect that but COBRA detectors are the worst possible detector you can use and you are better off not even speeding with a cobra radar detector save some money and buy a better detector

I’d be very surprised if it did – anyone with a heart compaint should still be able to drive around in safety without worrying that they’ll be short-curcuited by the speed cameras! If you’re concerned though, it might be worth mentioning this to your speacialist and to the manufacturer of the device – there should be a comments section on their website.
