If you're concerned though, it might be worth mentioning this to your speacialist and to the manufacturer of the device - there should be a comments section on their website. Just worry about being around strong magnetic fields... Don't use old power tools, and if you're talking on a cell phone, use the opposite ear. And don't go through metal detectors -- have them hand search you. ICDs are much different than they used to be. Not a lot affects them. I have an ICD, and radar detectors do not affect it.
