if you get a police scanner you can listen to them call the chase cars….real neat to see in action..and to avoid the traps.

They now have a white van with blacked out windows that sits and calls out the speeders. Very inconspicious, looks like a broke down vehicle.

If you have a “police scanner” and the right “freq”. you can listen to “spotter” tell the “chase cars” who to pull over”.
many people are doing 84mph + on a 65 mph highway. some times aircraft are involved as the “spotter”. this on ramp is a “spotter” favorite. also saco ramp and 295 north of portland to brunswick
also seatbelt checks are done at the tollbooths. scarboro and the 295 connector.
