Traxxas mini E-revo VXL 1/16 top speed test #3 72.7 mph

We had great to test some new stuff, this time it was my truck, we used a 35t pinion, SMC 2S 2200 mah 30c in series (4S) Jato’s JACO foam, the first run in video was 71mph with a flip at the end, 2nd run in video was the first run of the day.. And then the last run i punched throttle too fast and ended on the lid, cutting the antenna… We used stock esc and stock motor. Thx for watching!

MikePeperni July 17, 2010 at 6:26 pm

Yes, but watch the temp :)

Mike4vxl July 17, 2010 at 6:48 pm

could you put the 50+mph gear that comes with the truck?

MikePeperni July 17, 2010 at 7:10 pm

Not if you gear the truck accordingly :)

Mike4vxl July 17, 2010 at 7:24 pm

will the jaco tires over heat the esc?

MOV13M4ST3R July 17, 2010 at 7:33 pm

@camuman. You obviously don’t own one of these. If you put 50 wt oil an rear shocks and 30 wt in front shocks and bleed out all the air they will not wheelie. All 4 wheel stay on the ground pulling traction. Let me guess you are one of those guys who put a big ugly aluminum wing on the trunk lid of your 1991 4 door Honda Accord right& I bet it even has wheelie bars on it lol. Haha it’s always easy to spot a wannabe.

camuman July 17, 2010 at 8:24 pm

@MOV13M4ST3R

lol@ this. so throttle control, which is letting off the throttle is supposed to be faster then adding 5 ozs of weight, downforce to control vehicle at speed, and staying on teh throttle at 72mph ROFLROLFOFFL.

EPIC FAIL. many race car teams have shown us wings work. just not on 1991 honda accords with stock motors that run 17”s in teh qtr.

MikePeperni July 17, 2010 at 8:36 pm

No, it was on nimh mode only. :)

CardboardNinja7 July 17, 2010 at 8:53 pm

did you use a BEC for 4s

MikePeperni July 17, 2010 at 9:13 pm

I think it was 35t pinion .
:)

orangefit07 July 17, 2010 at 10:05 pm

What pinion gear are you using?

jmey107 July 17, 2010 at 10:54 pm

u can shorten the wire by stuffing it in the radio box so it does not hang out

MOV13M4ST3R July 17, 2010 at 11:01 pm

I stand by what I said. A bar only adds weight. Reminds me of one of those guys who has an aluminum wing on the trunk lid of his 1991 4 door Honda Accord lol.

Forget the wheelie bar and just learn to drive. It’s called “throttle control”.

bignic624 July 17, 2010 at 11:48 pm

not neccesarily. I ways just about 5 ounces. A lot less weight than the extra weight you are putting by running 4s. Think about what you say first.

MOV13M4ST3R July 18, 2010 at 12:36 am

Wheelie Bar = More Weight / More Weight = Slower Top Speed
