I was stopped at an intersection when a silver truck passed in front of me and two teenagers were pointing something that looked like a radar gun directly at my truck. I didn’t have my cell phone with me or any other electronic device (like computer or speed radar detector). I’m wondering if it was something to disable an electronic device. What were they up to?

I doubt it was a radar gun, they can cost several thousand dollars.
I could have been anything from a spotlight, a timing light for car maintenance, or some kind of toy. Sounds like they were just messing around.
I would bet it was a Radar or Laser Gun. Both are costly but can be obtained with the right amount of cash. Al tho most cost a lot you can obtain used devices for a cheaper amount.
For further clarification on your question, were they holding it up to their face or was it away from the face?
Away from the face would be radar , if they were looking through a hud display (like a scope) then that would be lidar/laser.
